Karo Parisyan, of Yerevan, Armenia, is a 4 time International Judo champion widely credited as being the first to successfully adapt judo techniques for mixed martial arts. Karo’s throws are continually highlight reel quality and his ground and pound style is brutal, allowing him to be a favorite mainstay of the UFC for five years running and still going strong. Karo is currently an MMA trainer at the WFA Legends gym alongside Jason "Mayhem" Miller, Bas Rutten, and Randy Couture while continually developing and improving his game as he sits atop the crowded elite of the UFC welterweight division. Karo Parisyan’s tecniques were honed for over 13 years under the Hayastan Grappling System as taught by Gokor Chivichyan and Judo Gene LeBell, adapting elements of Judo, Sambo, Catch Wrestling, Freestyle Wrestling, Greco-Roman Wrestling and Muay Thai.
